The Chandravati Jain Temple, located near Varanasi, is a sacred shrine dedicated to Lord Chandraprabhu, the 8th Jain Tirthankara. According to Jain tradition, Chandraprabhu was born in Chandravati, an ancient settlement near present-day Varanasi. This association makes the site highly revered among Jains, who regard it as one of the important birthplaces of their Tirthankaras.
The temple preserves the spiritual legacy of Lord Chandraprabhu, enshrining his idol in a peaceful sanctum. Its tranquil atmosphere, away from the bustle of the city, offers devotees a place for prayer, meditation, and reflection.
