दरभंगा घाट के बारे में
This ghat, along with its greatly embellished palace, was also the initiative of Shridhara Naryana Munshi, the minister of the Raja of Nagpur in the year 1812. It was earlier a part of the Munshi ghat. In 1915, the Raja of Darbhanga, Rameshwar Singh Bahadur, purchased the palace and since then, it is called the Darbhanga ghat.
Today, the ghat is crowned by the Brijrama Palace, a sandstone marvel now transformed into a heritage hotel. Its Rajput-Mughal architecture, complete with and ornate balconies, and well-lit façade are a sight to watch. From its steps and the hotel balcony above, one can witness the Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh without being swept into the crowd.
