Durga Ghat

दुर्गा घाट

दुर्गा घाट के बारे में

If the Ganga is the mother of all, then Durga Ghat is where the mother reveals her power. Named after Goddess Durga, the slayer of demons and the protector of righteousness, this ghat is not just a place — it houses the Brahmacharini Durga temple. This temple was built by Narayan Dixit in 1740 and renovated by the Uttar Pradesh Government in 1958.

Durga Ghat is one of the five ghats included in the Panch-Tirtha Yatra, a pilgrimage involving bathing in specific ghats in a particular order.

This is not a ghat of spectacle. It is a ghat of resolve. Of strength that does not shout. Of faith that does not falter.
