जलासेन घाट के बारे में
Jalashayi Ghat, also known as Jalasen Ghat, is a significant ghat in Varanasi, known for its association with Lord Shiva and its role in cremation rituals. It's believed that Lord Shiva is present in the form of a Shivlinga in the river Ganga in front of this ghat. It's a site where offerings are made to the Shivlinga present underwater.
Jalashayi Ghat is one of the places where the remains of the dead are offered to the Shivlinga, and it is believed that this helps in attaining moksha. Raja Baldevdas Birla renovated the ghat in the first half of the 20th century and established a Dharmshala for people to stay while performing cremation rites.
Unlike many other ghats in Varanasi, Jalashayi Ghat is not typically used for bathing due to its association with the cremation rituals and the belief about the presence of Lord Shiva.
