Mehta Ghat

मेहता घाट

मेहता घाट के बारे में

Mehta Ghat in Varanasi is significant as a ghat purchased and developed by a wealthy merchant, Ballabh Ram Shaligram Mehta, in 1960. It is located between Ganesh Ghat and Ram Ghat. The ghat is known for its historical and architectural significance, as it was renovated and made solid by Mehta, who then named it after himself.

As we go up the ghat, there is a hospital constructed by Mehta in the year 1962. People from the Marathi community reside on the side of the ghat. Though it lacks grandeur, Mehta Ghat offers a serene vantage point to witness the Ganga Aarti from afar, immersed in its energy, yet untouched by the crowd.
