Pandey Ghat

पांडे घाट

पांडे घाट के बारे में

Pandey Ghat in Varanasi is significant as a location steeped in wrestling tradition and historical ties to the renowned wrestler Babua Pandey of Bihar. It was originally known as Sarveshwar Ghat due to the presence of the Sarveshwar temple but was later renamed after Babua Pandey, who established a wrestling arena or Akhara there.

Apart from being home to the Sarveshwara Temple, the mystical Naga Kupa, a stone well dedicated to serpent worship is also present. Pandey Ghat teaches that sacredness lives in everyday discipline—in small, faithful acts that shape the body & mind.
