संकठा घाट के बारे में
Sankatha Ghat, nestled along the Ganges in Varanasi, is a serene refuge named after Goddess Sankata, the protector from troubles and fears. The ghat is is named so because it houses the famous temple of Sankatha Devi. "Sankata" translates to "danger" in Sanskrit, and devotees pray to the goddess to avert crises.
This temple was renovated by the queen mother of Baroda in 1820. The ghat was stonepaved by the wife of Pandit Vishwambhar Dayal, a renowned Sanskrit scholar, in 1825. It was renovated in 1923 by Maharaja Siyaji Rao of Baroda.
Sankatha Ghat teaches that strength lies not in escape, but in the quiet acceptance of life’s challenges amidst surrendering to the Divine.
