विजयनगरम घाट के बारे में
Vijaynagaram Ghat bears the name of royalty from the South — the rulers of Vijayanagara, whose reach, wealth, and reverence once shaped distant cities and sacred spaces. It was constructed by the Raja of Vijayanagaram in Andhra Pradesh in 1890, who donated the huge palace located on this ghat to a sage called Swami Karpatri. Presently, the Swami Karapatri Ashram lies here.
The ghat still holds echoes of Dravidian grace — the smooth curves of stone, the disciplined layout, and the devotional aura that rises even in silence. Offerings are made, lamps are lit, and the river watches, as always — flowing past kingdoms, past victories, and past the very idea of ownership.
